The coconut with outer hard covering has been taken symbolically as

representative of human head(Ego) in our scriptures. The coconut water

represents the nectar i.e. taste of SELF. If the coconut water has to be drunk

the hard covering has to be removed first. For that it requires a hard hitting.

Similarly if a person wants to taste the nectar of immortality his

personality(EGO) has to be hit hard , otherwise there is no possibility of

awakening especially in todays world in which everybody's ego has become

so strong due to his/her thinking that he/she is no less than other as far as

having knowledge(informations without experiences) is concerned. More

and more persons like U.G.Krishnamurti, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Ranjit

Maharaj,Osho etc are required.
