Anyone who is engaged in fulfilling the divine desire (unfulfilled task) of his Master i.e. "trying to awaken him or others".
He may or may not be a an enlightened person, but must not be blindly following his Master's command as no Master has ever desired that his suggestions should be followed blindly.
But the sad part (hard/bitter truth) is that so called followers are engaged in just opposite (blindly following) to what their Masters had desired.
The state of affairs of """the so called religions/spirituality of the world"""" and the resulting quality of present society speak volumes about this fact.
This same state of affairs weas there even in olden days including so called Treta, Dwapar, etc. as Mahabharta and Ramayana are like proofs.
